    Egypt & Nile Cruise

    Day 1: 13.1.26, Tuesday: Chennai ~ Muscat ~ Cairo  ( D )

    Our journey begins as the group gathers at the International Terminal of Chennai Airport at 04.00 am. Here, our tour coordinator will assist with the check-in process, immigration formalities, and baggage clearance. Once all procedures are completed, we proceed to the designated boarding gate. Excitement builds as we prepare to embark on an unforgettable adventure to the land of the Pharaohs—Egypt. Depart by 7.20 am on Oman Airways to Cairo via Muscat. Arrive at Cairo airport by 05.15 pm & Transfer to Hotel Azal (or) Similar. Dinner will be served at the hotel or a nearby Indian restaurant.

    Day 2: 14.1.26, Wednesday: Cairo City Tour (B, L, D)

    Morning, we embark on a full-day guided city tour of Cairo, starting with a visit to the iconic Great Pyramids of Giza—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. For those interested, an optional entry into the pyramid chamber is available. We then marvel at the enigmatic Sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh. The tour continues with visits to a traditional papyrus institute, a cotton showroom, and a perfume factory, offering insights into Egypt’s artisanal heritage. After lunch, we explore the world-renowned Egyptian Museum, home to an extensive collection of ancient artifacts, including the treasures of Tutankhamun. Dinner will be served at an Indian restaurant before we return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

     

    Day 3: 15.1.26, Thursday: Cairo ~ Aswan ( B, L, D )

    Morning, we check out and begin our exploration of Old Cairo. We visit the Hanging Church, one of the oldest Coptic churches in Egypt, followed by the historic Salah El-Din Citadel, which offers panoramic views of the city. We then stroll through the vibrant Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a bustling marketplace filled with souvenirs, spices, and local crafts. After lunch at a local restaurant, we proceed to the railway station to board our overnight sleeper train to Aswan. Dinner is served onboard as we settle into our comfortable sleeping compartments for the night.

     

    Day 4: 16.1.26, Friday: Aswan ~ Nile Cruise ( B, L, D )

    We enjoy breakfast on board the train and arrive in Aswan. Our first visit is to the impressive High Dam, a marvel of modern engineering that controls the flow of the Nile. We then explore the Unfinished Obelisk, which offers a glimpse into ancient stone-carving techniques. Next, we visit the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. After sightseeing, we board our luxurious 3-night 5* Nile Cruise, which travels from Aswan to Luxor, and check into our cabins. Lunch and dinner are served onboard as we begin our journey along the legendary Nile River.

    Day 5: 17.1.26, Saturday: Nile Cruise ~ Kom Ombo ( B, L, D )

    The cruise sails to Kom Ombo, where we disembark to visit the unique Temple of Kom Ombo. This temple is dedicated to two gods—Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, the falcon-headed god. We then continue sailing toward Edfu. All meals are served onboard, and we enjoy the serene views of the Nile as we cruise through the heart of Egypt. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and overnight stay on the cruise.

    Day 6: 18.1.26, Sunday: Nile Cruise ~ Edfu ~ Luxor ( B, L, D )

    In the morning, we take a horse-drawn carriage ride to the Temple of Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. After exploring the temple, we return to the cruise and continue sailing toward Luxor. Lunch and dinner are served onboard. The evening is free to enjoy the cruise’s amenities or relax on the sun deck. Overnight stay on the cruise.

    Day 7: 19.1.26, Monday: Luxor – Hurghada ( B, L, D )

    Morning after breakfast, we disembark and begin a full-day tour of Luxor, starting with the West Bank. We visit the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. We then explore the Valley of the Kings, the burial site of many pharaohs, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun. Our next stop is the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a stunning structure nestled against limestone cliffs. After lunch, we visit the Karnak and Luxor Temples, two of the most significant religious complexes in ancient Egypt. In the evening, we travel by road to the coastal city of Hurghada. Upon arrival, we check in at the Hurghada Swiss Inn Hotel 5* (or similar) for a two-night stay. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Day 8: 20.1.26, Tuesday: Hurghada ( B, L, D )

    Morning, we proceed for a half-day city tour of Hurghada. We visit a local boat factory to learn about Red Sea maritime culture, followed by the Grand Mosque and the bustling Fish Market. We then explore the scenic New Marina, a modern waterfront promenade. The tour concludes with shopping at Senzo Mall, a popular retail destination offering a variety of local and international brands. Return to the hotel for Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay.

    Day 9: 21.1.26, Wednesday: Hurghada ~ Suez Canal ~ Cairo ( B, L, D )

    Early in the morning, we check out and begin our journey back to Cairo. En route, we visit the Suez Canal, a vital waterway that connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea and plays a crucial role in global trade. We then proceed to Cairo International Airport to board our Oman Air flight by 06.00 pm via Muscat to reach Chennai by next morning, 06.30 am.
